Review of Van Helsing (2004) by Leonard D — 13 Oct 2015
I love this film. An outstanding piece on its on, it gets better over time if you later become familiar with Universal's Classic Horror movies. It's an incredible homage to Universal's horror legacy with its story, style, art design, and film tie-ins. Even after 11 years the special effects hold up which goes to show how good Weta Digital is.
There are a million things I want to praise about this film and if people would stop trying to be hipster cinema snobs they would see them too. Good to know that Roger Ebert is not so easy to fool.
