Review of Van Helsing (2004) by Yash B — 03 Aug 2018

There are some movies that exist to be purely mindless entertainment. "Van Helsing" is one of those movies. I do feel the movie is way too dramatic, over the top, and full of not particularly great visual effects but I will say, there is some fun to have here.

I thought all of the action scenes were a good time and the movie stars two good-looking leads that give serviceable performances which are as good as the cheesy script permits. It's not a must see movie but it is fine for a one time watch, as long as you know that its not meant to be taken seriously or viewed as art.
