Review of Vampire's Kiss (1989) by Conor M — 30 Dec 2009
An 80's business man believes he's turning into a vampire. Nicolas Cage is not a very good actor but he is at his best when he's let loose to go completely crazy on a film and I'm glad to say "Vampire's Kiss" is one of the best examples of Cage's madness.
I really don't think this movie is supposed to be as funny as it is but that didn't stop me from laughing my ass off as Cage runs around the streets of New York speaking in a british/keanu reeves accent yelling "I'm a vampire! I'm a vampire".
Cage channels Nosferatu so perfectly in is over the top performance that he truly is scary at times but most of the time he is just hilarious. This should be a cult classic.
