Review of Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (2001) by Myron R — 29 Dec 2008
For me, the best animated film I've seen to date. D is a fantastic character and, here, he's given more scope than in the first film. In addition, the film jsut feels bigger, with more characters, a more complex plot and more interaction.
Left Hand gets more time, which is welcome, and D finds a worthy human companion. The visuals are also excellent, improving on the original (although it was done 15 or 16 years later). Simply one cool anime.
