Review of Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (2001) by Hugh J — 20 Oct 2009
What a pleasant surprise. The last half hour falls victim to the anime curse of being too confusing with random shit happening just for the sake of symbolism and philosophical musings but the first hour was a helluva good time.
The storyline, while not original, was still engrossing, the animation was brilliant, the action was great, I dug most of the characters and I especially loved hearing Pamela Adlon and John Di Maggio doing some of the voices.
I fucking loved it.
