Review of Vampire Hunter D (1985) by Julian G — 22 Nov 2009
A pretty decent plot and pretty high animation for its time, Vampire Hunter D is one of the few animes I can watch without feeling retarded. It's character, a hybrid who is unwanted both by the human and vampire world but who carries on to hunt down the bloodsucking vermin.
A little slow, but not a bad way to kill an hour or so. Unfortunately, the American-dubbed version is ridiculous with a lot of alarming dialogue ending up funny. Still, it is entertainment for those who care to view it.
