Review of Vampire Academy (2014) by Noell A — 17 Feb 2014
Forget what the critics are saying: this is NOT another Twilight, nor is it a rehash of Harry Potter. It is its own universe, with wonderful life lessons for teenagers about love, loyalty, friendship as well as calling out bullying and slut-shaming.
The acting is superb, the chemistry is dynamite, the action is awesome, and the CGI is all right. The pacing is a little jumpy and they cut out a few clips but for only running 1 hr. 44 min, it ran pretty smoothly.
Go see it- bring your boyfriend, your girlfriend, your crew, your sister-in-law- anyone and everyone to see this movie. Its entertaining, has a bite, and has more soul than Twilight ever did.
