Review of Vampire Academy (2014) by Meghan M — 06 Jul 2014

In my opinion it was a cute movie. Not all movies are bound to be epic, and I didn't expect this one to be either. I read the books and it followed the story line to a T. It not only followed the story line but it was a funny movie too.

I personally like the books and the series gets better with each book so I can only imagine the movies would do the same, I think people are being a little harsh on their ratings, especially since most of the people giving bad ratings aren't even part of the target audience, so no one cares if you like it or not.

Maybe go read the books and you will have a better appreciation for the movie. The cast was well picked and I think the biggest problem people have with this movie is that its another vampire movie, get over it because hollywood isn't gonna get original any time soon, they keep re-doing the same stories over and over again, or borrowing from books now that they cant think of anything on their own, at least this one had its own take on vampires, made it much more interesting.

and hey at least the vampires in this story don't friken sparkle, the author stayed true to vampire mythology and thats what I call effort in making an interesting and realistic story out of something mythical.
