Review of Valmont (1989) by Pravesh B — 13 Aug 2010
A delicously wicked film with masters like Jean Claude Carriere & Milos Forman as screenwriter & Director. For some odd reason I am fascinated by the material here and I have seen most of the versions made.
This one holds its own vis-a-vis Stephen Frears celebrated film. Someday I might be tempted to adapt it to contemporary Mumbai. Not able to invent a climax in lieu of duel.
