Review of Valley of the Fangs (1970) by Allan C — 04 Mar 2017
Solid martial arts action flick features Lo Lieh and director Chang Ho Cheng before they became famous for "King Boxer." A wife and daughter are assisted by swordsman Lieh and their cousin to rescue their imprisoned husband/father.
Like most Shaw Brothers films, it's basically the same recycled martial arts film you've see a hundred times before, but it's not bad if not exceptional. My main disappointment was the the mother and daughter were helpless damsels in distress instead of joining in on the action like they would have in a Pei-Pei Cheng film.
