Review of Valley of the Dolls (1967) by Jane G — 08 Aug 2011
This is the first time I've seen this movie and I was very impressed. I heard about it in a book that talked about actress Sharon Tate being murdered by followers of Charles Manson.
Tate's performance was very convincing; I had no clue what to expect.
Patty Duke, as always, was absolutely phenomenal in her role.
The story is very tragic and serious (in my mind), but all these years later some see it as funny or campy.
