Review of Valley of the Dolls (1967) by Greg C — 26 Aug 2011
Such a classic. I'm glad I finally saw this film, not because it was a stellar screenplay or amazing acting, but for it's nostalgia. I always enjoy watching films from the 60s and 70s to recognize unknown or fresh actors. (Patty Duke was only 21yo!).
I have to admit, I began to feel offended with the numerious "f-bombs" and "queer" references. Although I realize it was natural back then, it makes me realize how far society has come.
It was definitely worth seeing, especially on a rainy weekend afternoon.
