Review of Valley of the Dolls (1967) by Zeina S — 20 May 2012
This film and the novel by Jacqueline Susann has been blasted by critics and I honestly don't know why. The book itself has character, and the movie, even though at times different, is unique and fresh.
This movie is very ahead of it's time and shows the ups and many downs of show business. Sex, alcohol and "dolls", this movie is a hilarious version of the book and has it's own cult following.
I enjoyed this in it's entirety as I did with the novel.
