Review of Valley Girl (1983) by Doris W — 28 Apr 2008
Definitely not the stereotypical teen sex comedy. Sure, it has the gratuitous nudity, drug use, and swear words, but underneath it all, it's a clever 80's re-imagining of the classic "Romeo and Juliet" story.
Though the clothes, settings, and language are definitely dated, the story is timeless. Not necessarily Academy Award material, but definitely a fun flick.
