Review of Valkyrie (2008) by James R — 23 Sep 2010
How could a World War be so boring?! Lots of famous, accomplished actors (Kenneth Branaugh, Terence Stamp, Eddie Izzard, et al) pass around a briefcase, talk, talk, talk, talk, then face a firing squad.
Supposed speaking German, the tale is told in Upper-Class British, except for Tom Cruise, whose flat American twang stands out for all the wrong reasons. This is one of Tom Terrific's weakest moments ever.
