Review of Valkyrie (2008) by Sylvia Q — 22 Apr 2011
The challenge the filmmakers had here was making a thriller where the audience already knows what's going to happen (there's no revisionist history like a certain Tarantino film). With that in mind, I think they do a good job of building the tension, especially toward the middle point of the movie.
There are some solid actors in this one. It's not the best World War II movie, and drags a bit near the end. But for the most part I enjoyed it.
