Review of Valkyrie (2008) by Patrick L — 21 Oct 2011
A nice, intense drama about an assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler and an attempt to save Germany. Tom Cruise is pretty solid, although he could've been a more convincing German officer (particularly with his pronunciation of names).
It was nice to see Bill Nighy in a different role other than the Underworld trilogy (which he's kickass in as well, if you haven't seen any of those). Overall, a good war film that covers more of the logistics of war - and it also goes to show you (along with historical facts) that not everyone agreed with Hitler and the rest of Nazi Germany.
