I'll be honest that this movie has a little more meaning because of my German heritage. It's good to see that were Germans who didn't allow themselves to be brainwashed. It terms of the quality of the movie itself I would give it an "OK" rating.
The one negative about almost any movie about Germans not made by Germans is that many of the major character are portrayed by British actors and the American big name to draw people in. Cruise didn't do a bad job but I would have to agree it felt like I was watching Tom Cruise with a eye patch as opposed to taking in the Stauffenberg character.
