You know how it ends but the movie still sucks you in; a fast pace and an astounding supporting cast really make up for the inevitability of the outcome, and the fact that every major actor is either American or British and speaks English.
Yeah, somehow the filmmakers make this all OK, which in and of itself is a major feat, but this aside, the movie is a tense adventure that doesn't dote on Tom Cruise; it moves briskly through the events and presents an excellent look at the consequences and sacrifices of such actions.
Good job Bryan Singer; you've almost made up for your "Superman" debacle.
