Review of Valkyrie (2008) by Trystan C — 23 Jul 2012
At first I couldn't figure out what the hell Tom Cruise was doing in this movie. The son of the man he's playing had publicly condemned Cruise for taking the part; so did German government. Then I was watching The View (Yeah, I fucking watch The View.
It's good shit.) and they showed a photo of the man, Claus von Stauffenberg, and Tom Cruise is a dead ringer for him. I forgive Tom Cruise. So did the German government. I'm not sure about Stauffenberg's son, but you should get in on the apologies too.
Forgive him for being a scientologist, and for jumping on couches, and not letting Katie Holmes do "The Dark Knight" (In fact, thank him for that) and go see this movie. It's thrilling and awesome in spite of the fact you know they fail.
