Review of Valkyrie (2008) by Barry T — 18 Sep 2011
An enjoyable film, props to the person who played Hitler FOR once someone has the haircut and mannerism of the fuehrer actually studied them and then protrayed them top line work there.
Dialogue such as "Ive got to show the World we are not all like that" Is frankly Hollywood too a tea but take away from the serious nature of the film.
The uniforms, the settings of Goebbels office/Berghoff IMPRESSED me greatly. Brilliant whatever that's called, location scouting/scene work.
The acting was SUPERB, I dont really like Tom Cruise but he brings Von Stauffenberg to life, to authentic life, and that's why he earns millions.
I enjoyed the film, certainly better than that inglourious bastards krap.
The ending doesnt sadden me at all, it's ungrateful to try to execute the man who took you and your famly from poverty to the edge of world domination.
