Review of Valiant (2005) by Felicia C — 31 May 2005

[font=Century Gothic]I decided to start off this journal, of my opinions on many movies, with the one i've most recently watched. [/font].

[font=Century Gothic]I went to the cinema, with a friend to watch Valiant (:rotten: ), and I have to say it was the most rubbish movie I had seen for a long time. On TV it wasn't advertised too much, many people I knew hadn't heard of it, but I did see the trailer and thought it was pretty funny, so decided to see it. The cinema had hardly any people, just me and my friend, a family with one kid, and one or two random other people. We thought about leaving halfway through and sneaking into another movie (we planned to do so, anyway, after the film whether good or bad), but we decided to stick to our plans and wait till afterwards. We didnt know what movie each screen was showing (sneaked into one - seemed like a crap movie so left and went into another one). The one we ended up sneaking into was Hitch, (it was half an hour into it when we sat down) and watched it. I gotta admit I didnt really wanna see Hitch cuz of it being a "romantic comedy" and all but it was not all that bad. I mean, it had some crappy bits but overall pretty funny, plus it had that guy outta King of Queens who is hilarious.[/font].

[font=Century Gothic]But back to Valiant (jeez I went off topic to a Romantic Comedy - thats how boring it was!). Valiant had like one decent joke (the one shown on the trailer which made me wanna see it) but apart from that, it was hardly funny at all. Basically about some small pigeon wanting to make it in the big world (what a cliché!), so he joins the army and ends up doing....something....man i've forgotten what even happens....that boring...and if I cant remember the storyline it must've been one of those pointless/make no sense plots...but anyway the thing is...its made for kids, so you know...u kinda expect it to be crap, although there are some good kids movies. I say, if your kid wants to watch a movie, DON'T choose Valiant! lol...you and the kid(s) would be better off watching something like The Incredibles, The Spongebob Squarepants movie, Finding Nemo, or something....:) [/font].
