The mercilessly explicit Valhalla Rising is virtually empty in content, but where it lacks story, it makes up for with beautiful cinematography, and every padded minute of Refn's Valhalla Rising's relatively short duration flaunts amazing visuals despite there being no meaningful story behind the frames.
It is simply a case of style over substance.
