This movie was excellent. It is one of the most visually beautiful films I have ever seen. It is a shame that it didn't do better at the box office. It is probably because it was up against another movie that I heard was better, Dunkirk.
Nevertheless I thought this movie was well done. I was a fan of the French comic Valerian back when I was in college. Star Wars was heavily influenced by Valerian. Anyone familiar with both the comic and Star Wars will see lots of similarities.
It is directed by Luc Besson who also directed the Fifth Element, one of my favorite Bruce Willis movies.
