Review of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017) by Zaine Z — 10 Dec 2017

Visually it's great. The main characters have no chemistry, though. The acting is bad on the guy's part and the girl's. the girl in particular seemed to be trying for being controlled but instead she was just unemotional. For the entire movie. She also didn't really seem interested in him, but of course you know how it ends.

The main story doesn't really make sense. Pretty sure those people would have died of starvation before learning how to fix a spaceship. I still don't understand what happened. And why the main character was chosen. Nothing makes sense.
