Sure it's lacking important things that make films masterpieces, but at the same time it's not as bad as the haters would have you believe. There are impressive ideas in there, there's a comprehensible plot you can follow and care about, there are good reasons for most of the flashy visuals, and overall the movie is well worth the ticket price.
