Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets immerses you in a unique scifi fantasy world teeming with aliens and wondrous sights. Despite the weak plot, poor script, rushed character development, and typical sexist treatment of the female lead, I did find the movie enjoyable and memorable.
I hope the movie does sufficiently well to encourage movie makers to continue to take chances on ambitious projects like this.
