Would have been about three times as good if they had swapped the lead actors and changed nothing else but the pronouns -Laureline lacking charisma wouldn't be nearly as problematic. Also would wouldn't have had that horrible melee imediately following on from the great CGI opening.
If they make another which I hope they will, they should definitely recast Valerian ..and get better writing.
Good thin thing the rest of the cast could act.
