Despite the bad reviews I decided to give this movie a chance. Within the 1st quarter however it was realized that the mediocre ratings Valerian received were extremely generous. It seems uncanny to me how awful this movie turned out to be.
Visually stunning can only take a movie so far. The dialogue was so flat and uninspiring that I am certain I could have written better but also suspect my 12 year old may have as well. The storyline which had potential, played out like a cheesy television series.
Going forward please if you are going to make a movie this bad for the love of god, do not make it for 2 hours and 20 minutes.
