Review of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017) by Vernes V — 28 Jul 2017
Those who grew up reading these stories (at your local library as was the case for me) Will exhale in relieve to discover the story was largely left alone.
A nice introduction, albeit quickly. And some kissing scenes to draw in the average moviewatchers, I can see why they wanted the cast to be younger then the comic was.
I was amazed howmany scifi suits and armor they showed us.
And the amount of CGI tells me they must've had a big budget for this one.
I hope with all my heart we'll get to see more.
If this and the next movies make enough money, who knows? Perhaps we'll see an grown up Valerian.
Just like in the comicbooks.
