Review of Valentine's Day (2010) by Sherry C — 11 Nov 2011
"Be my Valentine" is the main theme of this movie.
The best line of this movie: "February 14th, Valentine's Day, is not a national holiday, but it is one of those days that must be celebrated.".
The concept is like "Love Actually". A variety of stories of love, loss and relationships and what happened on Valentine's day. They start off having very little relation to each other but in the end you see all the puzzle pieces come into place and create some heart wrenching moments.
Although it's not as impressed as "Love Actually"(Love Actually is one of my favorite movie, so I maybe a bit biased :P), it's not bad either. It's definitely a sweet romantic date movie that will make you and your Valentine smile:).
The all-star casts delighted the movie. This movie got Julia Roberts, Jennifer Garner, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Ashton Kutcher, Jamie Foxx, Taylor Swift, Taylor Lautener, Bradley Cooper, McDreamy and McSteamy from "Grey's Anatomy". But of course, when you have so many stars, that means so many stories; and less time for character development. One good thing about this arrangment is if one story doesn't work, you have several other chances to still enjoy the movie with those work.
The movie includes sweet stories of young love, new love, and long lasting love. It may not be a prefect romantic comedy, but if you take your Valentine to go with you, it will definitely warm both of your hearts.
Last but not least, Happy Valentine's Day:).
