Review of Valentine's Day (2010) by ?My M — 16 Feb 2013
Many moments were borderline racist; this is their idea of comedy apparently. The humour was usually dumb and shallow. Anne Hathaway was funny as the phone sex girl with various accents. The narrator was obnoxious and random.
The only surprising plot twist in this movie was when Julia Roberts turned out to be going home to see her son; other than that it was pretty predictable and cliche. Taylor Swift's performance as a brainless popular high school girl was, in a word, perfect.
All in all, it's an American knock-off of Love Actually that falls flat on its face.
