Review of Valentine (2014) by Jose M — 14 Mar 2012
Valentine is neither terrifying nor suspenseful with a boring and a predictable killer. The problem is the one dimensional characters that provide no real suspense or reason to be cared about. If you have seen any crappy Canadian film from the 80s, then Valentine follows the same trend as those films.
You really care for no one, the killer is not mysterious nor interesting, teen walk into their own death, and final girl that is utterly annoying and self-righteous. The only character I manage to like was Fulvio Cecere because he plot devise for the lascivious comic relief.
Plus, he reminded me a lot of Scott Adsit.
