If you go into this without any uptight loyalty to the original Vacation it's actually funny and enjoyable. I like the original (and European Vacation) as much as the next person, but it's not like they were doing anything spectacular with their own franchise when Vegas or Christmas were made (and I didn't even realize they made a 2nd Christmas one until this moment).
