Review of Vacation (2015) by Oliver T — 27 Oct 2015
The critics were way too harsh on this one. It's a new take on the road movie which is a genre that for sure needs a new take. I'm not saying it's wholly original. Shit, it might as well be called vacation: the next generation.
This is a raunchy, not for the whole family, family movie with a by-the-book plot that has no pretense of originality while working hard to have its own identity. I do have one issue with it though. It rips off an episode of Family Guy in a reference to the Christie Brinkley in the convertible eye-fuck scene.
I saw the comic twist coming a mile away and I think any other FG fan will too.
