This should be funny, given the cast and the outlandish insanity that they come across, but it's just....not. There's a strange bitterness to the whole thing; the original Vacation may have had some biting moments, but there was an underlying tenderness and care about it's characters and they cared about each other.

Here they are are just bitchy and unpleasant and it undercuts the film as a whole.
