A step down for the franchise but still a pretty solid Horror flick. "V/H/S: Viral" is the third in a trilogy that die-hard Horror fans know about and everyone else eventually stumbles across on Netflix.

The point is to be a some-what original found footage anthology with a bunch of weird and creepy stories combined around a wrap around story. This time around, there's only a mere three segments as opposed to four in "V/H/S/2" and five in "V/H/S".

The first tape revolves around a magician that holds a powerful and deadly cloak that makes him nearly invincible as he becomes responsible for many local deaths. This is hands down the best short in the entire film.

It's gory, clever and completely original. The second is the weakest of the three. It involves a man that travels into another dimension with a sort of time machine he creates. It was too outrageous and bizarre.

This was my least favorite because it just never seemed to make a whole lot of sense and it didn't come together like I wanted. The third and final tape is about a couple of skaters that take a trip to Tijuana.

They wind up skating in the middle of a cult ritual. This could've been done a lot better than it was but it had a campy/music video type feel to it that made it enjoyable. The wrap around story wasn't the greatest either and it's a bit disappointing considering how great the second film was but for the fans of the first two and those who don't mind found footage films, "V/H/S: Viral" is still one of the stronger Horror films of October given some of the bombs we got this Halloween season.
