Review of V/H/S: Viral (2014) by Daniel L — 01 Mar 2015

What a disappointment. The first VHS was a flawed yet very entertaining horror flick, the sequel was a great horror film with some very unique segments, viral on the other hand has only one legitimately good segment, which was the first.

The problem with viral is that in each of the segments there's something that messes it up, the first one was very entertaining and unique, and the character of Dante the great was very entertaining, but the segment isn't very thrilling.

The second one was interesting but they never explained anything, that worked in the previous films but not here. The final segment would've been ok if the characters weren't unlikable and if the short wasn't a rip off of Safe Haven from the first.

So in the end its not god awful like every one says, but its pretty bad.
