Review of V/H/S/2 (2013) by Brian H — 04 Jul 2013
Another instance where the sequel is better than the first. V/H/S/2 follows the same format as the original. It's broken down into several short stories, all of which are found footage style. The main story that sticks out is "Safe Haven" and "A Ride in the Park.
" Safe Haven is about a documentary crew who go to investigate a cult, and A Ride in the Park is about a biker to begins a trip on a bike trail with a camera attached to his helmet. At the beginning he is turned into a zombie and we see a first person view of a zombie.
It's definitely the most original. The main story is my only real problem, it's nearly identical to the first. However, the maker of it is also the one who had the idea for the VHS films so, he gets a pass.
If you like the horrible found footage genre you'll love this, it's actually good unlike most of the others that are dished out constantly.
