Review of V for Vendetta (2006) by Gavin S — 01 Nov 2013

This movie gets 5 stars easy. this is very close to being my favorite movie of all time. the movie works on every level from an action movie to a political piece to a philosophical science fiction romp.

I haven't decided if this movie is better than the matrix yet, but it very well mite be. V is a tremendous character. He is incredibly articulate but he is also very dangerous, hes the kind of guy that would give you a conversation as stimulating as a college lecture and then proceed to kick your ass afterward (if you deserved it).

the movie makes you look on the kind of government we have today and a lot of the time the comparisons with the government of the film and the U.S government are eerily similar. if this movie makes you want to get out of your seat after, start a revolution and storm the streets of washington, then the movie has done its job.
