Review of V for Vendetta (2006) by Megs D — 16 Jan 2013
Intimidating, dark and an awesome comic adaption of a dark world set in a dark future. V For Vendetta has a truly remarkable story to it, about a vigilante who rises up against the corrupt dictator government to enforce freedom, forever. A man simply known as V (for various reasons) played menacingly by Hugo Weaving. V is a victim of this remorseless government and is his attempt to fight back with the help of a young woman who he entrusts to lead his legacy.
What a great concept this film is with the whole Guy Fawkes masks and the anarchy, its great its dark and its ultimately a story of uniting the people together to stand up. The film is violent, dark and gruesome but has hear to it. The Wachowski brothers adapted this story greatly for the silver screen and is definitely a must see.
