Review of V for Vendetta (2006) by Sharif A — 05 Dec 2012
This movie manages to take an situation many would deem extreme and put in a more realistic light. The darkness of London seen throughout the film reflects the dark side of the world many do not see or are not willing to see.
Parts of the comic were changed in favor of blood and violence but the overall message is not lost. The ending of the comic and the ending of the movie tell two different stories and while I prefer the ending of the comic the movie manages to still leave a familiar sense of liberation.
It is already well known that the group Anonymous was inspired by the events found within the movie. A movie capable of creating a online vigilante group posses a trait that is rarely found in modern movies and that is the ability to turn the quiet into the brave.
