Give this movies a chance. If you read this book n Harm's Way: The Sinking of the U.S.S. Indianapolis you would might have a greater appreciation of the movies underlining story. Nic Cage delivers a great performance and Mario Van Peebles gives a voice to the Black sailors of WWII that is often left out in other WWII movies.

This movies covers an important part of history that many Americans do not know of. Let us honor the sailors and Marines that gave their life by spreading the tale of this forgotten story. For its modest budget the special effects are great and the soundtrack works well.
