Not sure I agree with the synopsis of this movie. First of all, they imply that Tommy Lee Jones is not a star. He is and so they didn't "avoid" the label of sequel. But I liked this movie so they can say whatever they want in the synopsis.
And because I liked it, I refute they're "futile attempt" comment.
