Review of Us (2019) by Danikear — 26 Mar 2019
Fun and well directed. Nothing ground breaking but cool concept well executed. Music was perfect and the acting was incredible. The mom was perfect but every actor played both roles to near perfection.
some off beat humor was hit or miss. slapstick was great but one liners were sometimes out of place. Most fun I've had at theaters with horror movie since "it" remake. The movie does not explain every detail, but just enough for you to piece together the rest.
Some will be annoyed by this but I loved it. I could come up with my own theory on when, how and why for some of the questions regarding creepy alt family. while still explaining what the creepy alternate versions are and what there motives are.
I hate movies that make no sense and leave me confuse, and that's not what the lack details in alternate versions of us does. instead it allows you to come up with your theories on the missing details.
Can't wait to see jordan peele next movie. Get out was 8 out of 10 for me and this was 9.
