A gorgeously shot, incredibly atmospheric, well acted, genuinely disturbing, smartly directed horror film that requires thought and second viewings. It is admittedly confusing at times, but it’s never frustrating, which is an important distinction.
It’s the type of movie where you can’t wait to hear what other people think, as its (clever and original) story can be interpreted in numerous ways. Definitely one of the best modern horror movies.
Would give it a 9.5 if it was an option.
