Review of Us (2019) by Franzhcritic — 28 Mar 2019
I found it more enjoyable than 'Get Out' because 'Us' was more full-on horror than social satire. It still holds some social commentary within it, about the separation we as a human race put ourselves through.
The ending, however, was too convoluted and ambiguous for my liking. I admire ambiguity when done right, but this didn't feel like it was executed in the best taste. Jordan Peele still shows his talent as a writer and director, and I'm optimistic about his future films.
His filmography is only getting better.
