Let?s ignore the fact that the writers completely dropped the ball on this one by reusing deaths from previous movies in this franchise. Let?s ignore the fact that the story makes no sense.

Let?s not.

The one thing that these movies have going for them (and by ?these movies?, I mean slashers like Final Destination and the Nightmare on Elm Street series) is the death scenes. People dying in creative and interesting ways are what make these movies what they are. That, and perhaps the occasional nudity. Honestly, no one watches these for the acting.

I have to say it again. I can?t believe that this movie rips off its previous movies! Freddy slashed his way through dozens of teenagers, and never managed to repeat himself, and this is only the third incarnation.

And now we breathe.

Basically, the movie rips off the Candyman franchise as well (regardless of the fact that the Bloody Mary urban legend precedes the Tony Todd classics.

That, and what?s with teenagers in movies owing cars that I still can?t afford? I understand that mommy and daddy buy these for them? but come on.

Oh, and the looks that the step-dad keep giving the main character are just disturbing in a non horror-movie related way.

If nothing else, remember this: there are always other horror movies to watch, so go grab one of those. This isn?t even fun to laugh at.
