Review of Urban Legends: Bloody Mary (2005) by Gilbert L — 03 May 2008
A good sequel to the Urban Legend series, it starts off strong, dips in the middle as if being weighed down, and then brings itself back up to where it was at the beginning. This movie went a little extreme at points, such as a girl having spiders the size of walnuts crawl out of her face and then smashes her face in a mirror, making two shards stick out like reflective bunny ears or flattened tv attena, to which she rips them out, all the time your sitting there, squirming and muttering "Holy Shit!" to yourself, repeatedly.
The acting is what you'd expect, the legends are a little more updated, but you still know and love them. If this is the final movie, then I'll be somewhat relieved and a little disappointed at the same time, disappointed mainly because they left the second one off with a cliff hanger ending which I wish they would continue.
But I'll be relieved as I can give Blockbuster a rest for now with all my crazy movie renting.
