Review of Urban Legend (1998) by Elizabeth S — 21 Jul 2008
A serial killer is on the loose at Pendleton University killing his victims in the style of urban legends in this inventive and highly entertaining horr or movie from director Jamie Blanks. Alicia Witt and Jared Leto head the attractive young cast as the only two people on campus who believe there is a killer running around.
Horror legend Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger) puts in an appearance as a suspicious professor, and look out for Brad Dourif (the voice of Chucky) at the beginning. Add to this a whoudunit that keeps you guessing, plus an eerie score from composer Christopher Young and Urban Legend is a fun horror movie that delivers just enough thrills and spills.
